The Lord, my son is pulling away from christian fellowship and church, please pray the Lord will intervene quickly, protect him from stumbling back to things that destroy. Please pray for my prodigal son that God would touch his heart and heal him. He is a very gentle spirit but was abused by his father for most of his life. The abuse was emotional and extreme anger leaving him and me in a very unstable situation emotionally. We never knew when he might blow up and abuse us or embarrass us by abusing someone else. I pray that my husband would be open to emotional healing for himself and that our family could be reunited someday and live in a healthy environment. I am so sad and feel hopeless as there does not seem to be any change in site.

My wife and I are approaching retirement. The last of our four children was married and left home a couple of weeks ago. We are trying to \'down size\' our house and material life and are challenged to \'up size\' our spiritual life. I want the end of my wife\'s and my life to be a joy to the Lord. Please pray for healing for my stomach & GI problems - I've been in much pain & could hardly eat & lost much weight. Went to urgent care today, doctor diagnosed me with gastritis - inflammation of stomach lining, but also possible stomach ulcer or gallstones. I'll see primary care doctor Monday afternoon, please pray she'll have wisdom to accurately diagnose me and treat me. Also, a big prayer request -- please pray I will be able to schedule all the upcoming tests for my stomach & GI system including upper and lower endoscopy & ultrasounds, etc, between early to mid July, due to my schedule.

So I'll be honest in saying after the last two years, it's been awhile since I opened up the Bible and gave it a serious read. The last couple months I've been avoiding it while it rests on my bed, like a frizzled marriage: you still go to sleep together at the end of the day, but nothing's really there between you anymore. I picked it up today and opened it. I didn't even get to the first page and just started crying. I realize that I'm still harboring a lot of anger, bitterness and confusion about what transpired in Canada and that chapter of my life. Please brothers and sisters pray for me

Devastating news today after consulting the third glaucoma specialist and had the prognosis verified: the eyesight in my right eye cannot be saved. The recent laser surgery did not help. The only other surgery has to many risks for someone my age to seriously consider. Never dreamed about having glaucoma; I am the first on either side of my family to have this problem and I am having a hard time dealing with this. My faith is strong, but I am still terrified. Thank you for your prayers.
