An Israeli friend, Ahava, has been battling stage 4 ovarian cancer for close to 5 years. After 4 recurrences, chemotherapy no longer seems to be working. She & her husband Dave are in the US consulting with a doctor about a different course of treatment. I have some really difficult negotiating to do this week regarding the welfare of my daughter. This isn't something that comes easily to me! Please pray I will have the wisdom to present the issues properly and also to be tactful and fair, but to get the outcomes needed to ease the situation she is in.
My daughter has severe clinical anxiety. She is living in student accommodation & having problems with noisy neighbours. Her university have been very supportive, but sorting the problems out has take a long time & still unresolved after about 2 months. The combination of severe anxiety, being continually disturbed and feeling helpless that nothing is being done has made her feel no one cares and she just can't cope. I am also on the receiving end of her daily outpourings and getting very worn down by it. Please pray for a solution and that all the shattered trust will be restored.
May we as Christians all stand tall in the face of the terrorism of IS and similar evil people. Let us not yield in the face of their threats but stand tall, as WE have God on our side. They are sadly misguided into believing they are fighting for "God", blinded to the fact it is satan who is pulling their strings. Let their eyes finally be opened, Lord! Let them understand WE are not the enemy: satan is!!! he is the only source of evil there is, making people turn against one another. If we fight and bicker, satan is greatly pleased!!! Let's not give him that joy! 🙁
My husband is being verbally and emotionally abusive again. It is so painful and I don't know what to do. He blames everything on me and projects everything he says and does onto me.
